How To Clean Frieze Carpet
Cleaning a standard frieze carpet is not any different from cleaning a standard cut pile. Use a vacuum cleaner with a beater bar. You need the beater bar to agitate the carpet in order to loosen dirt and grime that has sunk deep within your carpet. Because the procedures for cleaning a frieze carpet are the exact same as for a cut pile, please read our guide on how to clean cut pile carpet.
Be careful that you're not confusing a shag carpet for a frieze as sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference. Basically, if the carpet threads are very long (much over an inch) then you may need to use a "carpet rake" as the the threads can wrap around the beater bar and be damaged or torn up from the carpet.
